New Year. New Progress.

Every year we are quick to make a vision board to inspire us to be our best self in the new year. Shoot, you may even get invited to several vision board parties to start the new year and several more throughout!

I saw rather than that standard, lets reflect. Having a vision for what you aim to achieve is wonderful and necessary. But often times we forget to reflect on where we have been, our choices and how it affects that vision. What have we accomplished? Where have we grown? Where can we still stand to water and grow? I decided this was really important to me this year.

If you noticed on Facebook everyone was doing the 10 year challenge recently and I decided to dig through my old Facebook account to find oldies but goodies. I found photos of my family - my late Uncle Kevin, Mom and Sister at my college graduation. My close friends all surrounding the table at the Mexican restaurant we ate at for Cinco de Mayo (which also happened to by my graduation day- Look at God!). We all looked so young! No one had kids yet. It really hit home to see how I had lost my uncle. My mom looked so young. Even my sister. Where is the time going?! What have I done?! It hit me and I felt the urgency to focus.

The truth is, my life doesn’t look like I imagined it would at 21. This isn’t really what I hoped for and envisioned. I don’t bask in that negatively as I desire to be more gracious with myself. But, I do consider myself a late bloomer. I am honestly late to grow up into adulthood. I consider myself responsible and accountable but to what degree? I want to hold myself responsible for being intentional with everything. It’s time to take it a step further and be the woman I see myself as. Not just “see” her in my mind. It’s time to live like her.

As I reflect on my journey thus far and the last year I’ve had, I invite you to join me! Let’s make this year the most prosperous in growth - spiritually, financially and anything else your heart desires. I wish this for you.

Cheers,
